Robert Hampton
Instructor, Third Degree Black Belt
Third degree black belt, Robert Hampton, teaches traditional martial arts such as Ishinryu and Tang Soo Do, in addition to other mixed martial arts, like Boxing, to students of all ages. With over 24 years of experience teaching karate—in the same school that he earned his own black belt from—Robert Hampton focuses on values, discipline, respect, and control.
Robert began his martial arts journey at the age of thirteen and has been training steadily since 1988. He bought the school from his instructor in 1991. Since that time he has been a respected business owner and member of the community, who frequently runs events to raise money for charities like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the near future, Robert will be testing for his fourth degree black belt.
His passion for martial arts is evident, as he endeavors to develop students’ strength and flexibility through tradition structure and techniques. Classes are rigorous—not watered down—and unlike many other karate schools, Robert actually teaches all of his classes. One of his primary goals is to actually teach the students something that will benefit them throughout their day-to-day lives, like: boosting confidence, improving self-discipline, learning respect for one’s self and others, or simply promoting good overall health.
