Student Creed
Students of Hampon's Karate Academy are required to learn the student creed and be able to recite it in class. The student creed lays out the foundational principles for which their martial arts training is based upon. It is used as a teaching aid to instill a sense of pride and honor in students and to help inspire, motivate, and challenge them to better themselves.
I intend to develop myself in
a positive manner and avoid
anything that would reduce
my mental growth or my
physical health.
I intend to develop
self-discipline, in order to
bring out the best in
myself and others.
I intend to use what I
learn in class constructively
and defensively, to help
myself and my fellow man
and never to be abusive
or offensive.
